day 10

greetings! i have to say, today went by really fast! i don't know what it is, days seem to go by faster now. it feels like i don't have enough time to do everything i need to do all in one day. i sometimes wish there was 4 more hours per day. but then again, i probably slack off another 4 hours anyways. :) today's picture(s) are of a baby named Yae Jun. He has an amazing story! He was born 2 months prematurely!! it is amazing how much he has grown and how much God has been faithful with him and his family. Now, he is 7 months old. it is pretty amazing to look at this baby and see the faithfulness of God. i know this blog is one picture a day, but he is also so cute and couldn't help it! enjoy! :)

day 9

hello! today went by pretty fast for me. the agenda for today was to get up, practice for worship tomorrow, study, eat, and play some basketball. during the time i was reading, i was reading this book called "Bitter Fruit" Its about CIA coup on Guatemalan government while Jacobo Arbenz was in power  as the president in the 50s. Yeah, pretty boring to you... :) i love it! (nacho libre) but yeah, i liked the title of the first chapter because i think it symbolizes Christianity at the beginning of salvation. The battle begins. Your life has the victories and defeats but the battle never ends. It is a constant struggle to have God be glorified in your life. In our lives, having to declare Jesus as your savior is victory in itself, but we are constantly bombarded by the lies of Satan. The war is won, but the battles are not over. I guess i write this because as i reflect in my life today, i feel this sense of trust and reliability in God today. Even there is no music to intensify the blessings or no sermon to rally me to move on forward, i felt a silent victory today that my trust is ever more present in God today and on. yeah, today was a long one, but hope you enjoyed it.

hey people. today was a typical friday. attempt to study and then head to church. being a leader in a youth group is a great privilege and a great blessing to be involved in lives of teens and trying to make a difference. well today's shot was of one the girls in the church.

day 7

hooray! one full week and i'm starting to like this. well, today was full of classes, and by the way, my back was killing me. i felt like i was carrying a million bricks on my lower back. but, as the day went along, it got better. tonight i had a chance to grab dinner with a friend and decided for a spontaneous trip to chicago to meet another friend. this was a shot right before we left for home.

day 6

so lately i've been dealing with pain in my back, and have been bed ridden for much of two days or so.... i think i'll be ok, so i haven't been outside today, as for inside, this is a picture of a light in my house. i like it because of the light patterns it gives off.

day 5

tuesdays and thursdays is school. enjoyable. but sometimes is a drag. but this is the winner for today's picture. UNBELIEVABLE! i don't know what ya'll pay for gas, but i pay about 3.20ish in the burbs. found this gas station on my way to my night class. no, i did not fill up here. :)

day 4 - blah

typical monday..... stayed at home. read the bible, attempted to study.... but yeah, i know its pretty boring, but this is the best picture i took... haha.. forgive my uncreative mind.. but if i can say anything, this brand of water bottle was rated one of the top brands for water bottles in a yahoo article... so the lesson today is to drink nestle pure life water bottles! :)

day 3

how sad, packers take our george hallas trophy and get the bid to compete for the lombordi trophy. its ok, and btw, jay cutler did not cop out and his heart should not be an issue. anyways, this was taken while we were watching the bears game.

ok, there is a tie for today. i only make acceptions for this kid. this is benjamin bailey. you'll see why. so adorable and cute!

day 2

i had the opportunity to attend one of my best buddy's birthday for his son. it was very low key, but very enjoyable. this is him before he blew out the candle. to set you up, we were waiting for him to do something for a min. then somebody clapped their hands and started smiling.... priceless!

the start, day 1

this is my first post in any blog, well i guess you can count xanga as a blog, but that was more for show and tell. i had this idea to take a picture a day and posting them. i figure taking a picture a day will help me be a better photographer....hopefully.. here we go.

Day 1 - 01/21/11
Ladies, this is Kevin Shin. :) no, hes still a junior higher. one of my greatest joys in my life is being a leader in a youth ministry. i wanted this blog to start off being centered around Christ and devoting it to Him. This picture was taken when we were setting up for our friday night prayer service.
